This could have been a reality today if it were not for the opposition of the first National Bank being brought into existence in 1791. There was much conflict of creating a National Bank to serve America. Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton took opposite sides on this subject. Both of them state that they had the best interests of the United States in mind. This is one of the first debates in which we see the conflicting views of the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans of the time. Axon degeneration does not necessarily have to involve the typical apoptotic pathway regardless of the morphological similarities to cells undergoing apoptosis. Yang et al. focused on axonal death in traumatic injury because it has been shown to be independent of the necroptotic pathway. This was discovered since treatment with necroptosis inhibitors did not protect axons. To reiterate, axonal death in traumatic injury has commonalities with other diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Our daily activities and interactions with people have been made easier and efficient with advanced technology, which has been facilitated by education. Education is a self-empowerment tool. It helps us think critically when we find ourselves in some difficult situations and tough experiences. We often face hard decisions at some point in our lives but through using knowledge; we critically assess the situation and finally get a solution. For instance, I witnessed a teacher with a medical condition known as myocardial during one of the school games. Most of us had no idea of how to handle the situation; it would have been tragic if the victim had not received medical attention as fast as possible. Luckily, one of the seniors had training on how to handle such cases. He swiftly acted and performed first aid on the victim. Within a few minutes, that teacher regained his consciousness and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The experience showed us the importance of having various necessary skills such as the first aid procedure since such skills might be needed at any moment. Such skills can only be acquired through learning. The society advocates that every child is entitled to education. It is important for the educators to start programs that will entirely change such people’s lives by educating them. Education is rightful and important for everyone. As education professionals, we have a role to share knowledge and reach out to communities who are captives of illiteracy. Some organizations, corporations, businesses and sometimes the government take advantage of uninformed citizens and exploit them because they lack education. People should know their rights and fight against unlawful acts, and this can only be achieved if they are educated. In a strict sense, Mardi Gras, or Shrove Tuesday, is celebrated by the French as the last of the three days of Shrovetide and is a time of preparation immediately before Ash Wednesday and the start of the fast of Lent. It is thus the last opportunity for merrymaking and indulgence in food and drink. In practice, Mardi Gras is generally celebrated for a full week before Lent. It is marked by spectacular parades featuring floats, pageants, elaborate costumes, masked balls, and dancing in the streets. Mardi Gras originated as one of the series of carnival days held in all Roman Catholic countries between Twelfth Night, or Epiphany, and Ash Wednesday; these carnivals had their origin in pre-Christian spring fertility rites. The most famous modern Mardi Gras festivities are those held in New Orleans, Louisiana; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Nice, France; and Cologne, Germany. Lent, period of fasting and penitence traditionally observed by Christians in preparation for Easter. The length of the Lenten fast, during which observants eat sparingly, was established in the 4th century as 40 days. In the Eastern churches, where both Saturdays and Sundays are regarded as festival days, the period of Lent is the eight weeks before Easter; in the Western churches, where only Sunday is regarded as a festival, the 40-day period begins on Ash Wednesday and extends, with the omission of Sundays, to the day before Easter. The observance of fasting or other forms of self-denial during Lent varies within Protestant and Anglican churches. These bodies emphasize penitence. The Roman Catholic church has in recent years relaxed its laws on fasting. According to an apostolic constitution issued by Pope Paul VI in February 1966, fasting and abstinence during Lent are obligatory only on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Each year more than 24 million visitors produce more than $4.7 billion for the Louisiana economy. The hub of this tourism industry is New Orleans. The quiet old-world charm of the French Quarter is periodically disturbed by celebrations at the time of Mardi Gras, the Sugar Bowl football game, and major events at the Superdome. The state is also noted for its Gulf and freshwater fishing and for its excellent hunting opportunities, as well as Thoroughbred and quarter-horse racing.
